Season 13 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Delayed…

Season 13 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia will likely not air until 2019.

Gang, I have some bad news. Glenn Howerton (Dennis) and Kaitlin Olson (Dee) have confirmed that season 13 of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia has been delayed and will not likely air until 2019.

We just completed the epic season 12 and now they’re telling us we won’t have any Sunny in 2018? WHAT HAS THE WORLD COME TO??????

The actors all have a lot going on now and apparently it’s conflicting with producing Sunny. Kaitlin recently told TV Guide:

“We ended up pushing our next season a year because we were all busy with separate projects this year,” Olson said. “So at the end of this coming shooting season of The Mick I’ll step right into Sunny after that.”

If you’ve watched the last episode of season 12 and heard the rumors, it’s possible that even when Sunny does air again, Dennis may be there.

Dennis Upset

Glenn recently said:

“We may be taking an extended hiatus between season 12 and season 13. So I’m certainly staying open to the possibility of doing more, but there is a possibility that I will not.”

This is all disappointing for sure, but I am convinced that the gang will return and finish It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia and their 14 season contract with FXX.

There is a lot of money on the table still for every involved and they’ve created something beautiful with Sunny that I’m sure they all want to end properly. When that will happen appears to be up in the air currently though.

  1. My thoughts? 1, I love it’s always sunny, and I want them to take however long is necessary not order to produce a quality next season. 2, you should proofread before you hit “post.”

  2. Im pissed. I’m gonna take a break watching them too , I gotta go take advantages of other shows 🙁 !!!!!!

  3. Well, this is some shitty news to read this morning. I love Sunny and can’t believei might have to wait over a year for new episodes. Agghh!!

  4. Very bummed with the news. I just hope they make it back and finish out the series. Glenn included! Still watching reruns on the dvr daily.

  5. i am a huge fan. i would rather wait a year and see the entire cast! than not or have the show cancelled

  6. Whenever it comes to shows or movies or musicians that I love, I absolutely always prefer that they take a break if they feel they need to. The quality simply will not be there if they force themselves to write or act when they are not on the right stage of mind for it. I know they will comeback, and when they do, it will be awesome!

  7. The Mick isn’t worth saving. It was good until it went PC then turned to shit. 3 comedy shows in history (Married With Children/Seinfeld/It’s Always Sunny) were made with the perfect comedy formula. 2 are all done, but i would like to see this go the full 14 season’s and steak it’s place in history as a landmark comedy.

  9. I’m glad that they want to fufill their contractual duties. As a fan I’d rather wait and know they’re at least gonna come back. Besides I’ll have the mick to watch while they’re absent, and I loooove that show too. 🙂

  10. Just a comment, NOT a complaint, NOT bitching or whining. I guess I just thought Sunny was their priority over any other projects. (And I DO love The Mick) Oh well. That’s what repeats are for, I suppose. See you in 2019!
